JETNET

Energy Savings Benefits

Annual Energy Savings 14,500 kWh
Average HVAC Savings 30%
Annual Heating Savings 478 therms

JETNET, a leading provider of business and commercial aircraft intelligence located in Utica, NY, participates in Energy EDC partner NorthWrite’s AgileVolt TM service. AgileVolt TM is a remote building management system that guarantees energy savings with no start-up costs to the customer. Now in the “Active Oversight” stage of the AgileVolt TM service, JETNET is saving 30% on HVAC energy use.

JETNET, like many buildings of its size, relied heavily on manual operations to control building equipment. It was not surprising when initial savings came immediately through automation of the building schedules and temperature setbacks; and optimal start/stop times of HVAC operation.

As expected of an historical, 1911 constructed building, unique operational challenges exist and with the assistance of Agile Volt’s cloud-based monitoring, new energy savings measures were identified to address them. New economizer and damper equipment are scheduled for installation that will automate more of the HVAC system and generate increased savings. In addition, a snow melt system at the building will be automatically operated based on actual weather. Projected savings for the two new measures is an additional 20% for the economizer and 10% for the snow melt system.

AgileVolt TM was born out of the Building Technologies Innovation Program sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The program goals to reduce carbon emissions across New York State while addressing the gap for smaller underserved companies to participate in Energy Efficiency and Demand Response incentive programs, are met when buildings are controlled and monitored via AgileVolt TM’s cloud-based service.
